2014 Challenge Cup Edmonton ends in Thriller
The HSL Spartan Academy White roared out to a 4-0 lead in the Final of the 2014 Challenge Cup held in Nisku at the Silent Ice Center. Flyers HC answered with one goal in the second period, and 3 goals in a 4 minute span in the third period to send this game to overtime.
The overtime saw many great scoring chances for both sides. The goalies stood tall and in the end we needed a shootout to determine a winner.
7 rounds of shootout action saw the Spartan Academy White prevail with a 5-4 victory.
